The PLANTiT Aeros IV Master, a Deep Water Culture (DWC) system, also known as a bubbler. These are a very popular hydroponic systems that needs very little growing media. However it does require a lot of nutrient/water solution. The aeros is available in 1 plant or 2 plant options and also a 4 plant recirculating option.
The plant sits in a net pot filled with a growing media such as clay pebbles. An oxygenated water/nutrient solution submerges the roots. The aeros includes an air pump and submersible air stone to provide a large amount of oxygen to the roots. This results in rapid growth.
The bubbles made by the air stone keep the water moving and oxygen rich and so the roots stay healthy.
It is important to watch the EC and pH levels closely with this system in order to gain best results. This is easy to do by simply removing the inspection port cover and taking a pH/EC reading. The aeros IV includes 4 aeros modules and a separate master tank with a level indicator.
The solution goes around the whole system to ensure that each plant gets the right amount of food. The air stone in each pot gives oxygen to the roots of the plant resulting in rapid growth.
