All in all, its perfect for growers who want to:

1. Grow in Pots 2. Experiment with media 3. Move pots around and remove individual pots 4. Make the most of space with a self contained system.

Also, available in a range of sizes to suit the modern grower.

The Wilma, developed to include:

Improved spacing between pots, with a handy nutrient mixing tap and easier access to the reservoir.

Furthermore, Wilma is a joint project between Atami and Nutriculture and is as simple to use as a pot. But, with less maintenance thanks to the timer which automates feeding

Description

The reservoir holds the nutrient solution. Meanwhile, a pump comes on at timed intervals set by the grower and drips the solution into the top of the pots. The nutrient solution then works its way through the media. Then drains back into the reservoir to be recirculated at the next timed interval.

Each time the Wilma’s drip irrigation feed runs it pulls fresh oxygenated air into the growing media. Designed to be low to the ground. As a result, growing space is filled with plants, not the hydroponic grow system. Growers should experiment with different media to see what gives them the best results, and upgrade to clay pebbles as confidence levels grow.

Certain sizes are made to order, meaning it will take 10-14 days to build and ship.

Additional Info
Hints & Tips : When growing with clay pebbles:
  • Use the flood drippers

  • When plants first go into the system feed 1 to 3x a day.

  • As plants grow, increase the number of feeds up to a maximum of 6x per day or use a controller to set shorter but more frequent feeds to maximise oxygenation and nutrient uptake.

  • Plants under lights will take up water at a greater rate than they take up nutrient. Over time the EC of the solution will rise. Top up the tank with half strength nutrient solution, check EC and add extra nutrient if required. Then adjust pH level and perform a solution change every 2-3 weeks to keep the pH and EC balanced.

When growing with rockwool cubes:
  • Use the arrow drippers

  • When plants first go into the system feed 2x a day.

  • As plants grow, increase the number of feeds up to a maximum of 5x per day or use a controller to set shorter but more frequent feeds to maximise oxygenation and nutrient uptake.

  • Top up the tank with near full strength nutrient solution before the level in the tank drops below the pump. Check EC and add extra nutrient if required. Then adjust pH and perform a solution change every 2-3 weeks to keep the pH and EC balanced.

When growing with soil or coco:
  • Use the arrow drippers

  • When plants first go into the system feed once a day.

Then adjust pH level and perform a solution change every 2-3 weeks to keep the pH and EC balanced.

  • Use a cleaning product, like Flash Clean, to prevent dripper blockage.

Remember: The amount of feed periods that a plant requires will largely depend on environmental conditions – light, humidity and temperature. No feeding schedule is set in stone, growers need to watch their plants for signs of over or under feeding and adjust the feeds accordingly.
